"Areximbank-Gazprombank Group" CJSC was founded in 1998, which was primarily aimed at facilitation of financial flows and assistance to various businesses. Since 2007, 100% of the Bank has been owned by one of the largest Russian banks - Gazprombank Open Joint Stock Company. As a universal financial and credit organization, Areximbank offers the full range of banking products. The Bank's activities are basically focused on servicing large corporate and VIP customers, financing projects of large corporate customers, extending loans to small and medium businesses, issuance and servicing of payment cards, implementation of distance banking (electronic banking), as well as international money transfers via payment systems and ATMs.

2010

The Bank adopted a new Bank Strategy for 2010 -2012.

The Bank developed and introduced a package of privileges for VIP-clients.

The Bank launched the issuance of discount cards of IAPA and Countdown international systems.

The RA Central Bank extended a subordinated credit to "Areximbank-Gazprombank Group" CJSC.

The Bank moved to electronic circulation of documents.

Switched to MIGOM money transfer system.

Started the servicing of long-term credit line opened by the Russian Gazprombank for ArmRusgazprom.    

Introduced an on-line service for acquisition of VISA and MasterCard international plastic cards.

Introduced a new system of personnel motivation and social privileges.

Celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Bank's first  - «Tigran Mets» branch.

The Bank was awarded a gold medal and a diploma in «Best stand» nomination at «EXPO-RUSSIA Armenia 2010» Russian-Armenian industrial exhibition.

The Bank organized a competition for a lump-sum scholarship among students of Armenian universities. 

2009

AREXIMBANK CJSC was renamed to "Areximbank-Gazprombank Group" CJSC
 

The Equity capital of "Areximbank-Gazprombank Group" CJSC
increased by AMD 3 ,850 billion and totaled over AMD 12.3 billion.

The Bank became an agent for servicing the long-term line of credit granted to ARMRUSGAZPROM  CJSC by the Russian GAZPROMBANK OJSC.

Introduced a new Internet Banking service,

Launched the Telecard system,

Introduced Card-to-Card  instantaneous remittance system,

Relocated the old Tumanyan branch to more comfortable and up-to-date facilities,

Launched the Erebuni-Plaza office specialized in servicing VIP customers,

Opened new branches in Armavir, Artashat and Abovyan marz centers,

Launched the Charents  branch in Yerevan,

Participated in MoneyGram international payment-settlement system.  

 2008

Gazprombank open joint-stock company became the only shareholder of Areximbank.

Areximbank's capital was increased by AMD 6,000,002,502 (USD 20,000,000).
The Bank celebrated its 10^th anniversary.
The Bank's processing center migrated to Gazprombank's processing center.
The Bank opened theKanaker branch,

Number of ATMs - 22,

2007
Gazprombank OJSC became Areximbank's shareholder,
The Bank obtained International Convention's award for service quality,
Opened  the Martuni branch,
Became the only card agent of AmericanExpress in Armenia.

2006
The Bank opened the Vanadzor branch,
Launched the Artik branch,
Opened the Echmiadzin branch,
Opened the Hrazdan branch,
Started extending mortgage loans and loans for purchasing household appliances and office equipment,
Issued first Master and Maestro cards.

2005
The Bank became a full member of MaserCard International card system, and was certified with MasterCard International processing center,
Increased by 59  the number of points for servicing Bistraya Pochta transfer system,
Number of points of plastic card servicing - 34,
Number of ATMs - 10,
Number of customers - 23,808.

2004
The Bank's Shareholder capital increased by USD 4,800,000,
The Bank opened the Tumanyan  branch in Yerevan,
Obtained the Acquiring License from VISA International,
Installed first POS-terminals at trade outlets,
Established its own processing center,
Jointly with Impexbank implemented money transfers for individuals through Bistraya Pochta system,
Started the extension of car loans.
Number of customers totaled 20,902.

2003
Opened its own building.

2002
Opened the  first regional branch in Gyumri,
Opened the Kentronakan branch in Yerevan,
First in Armenia became a full member of Visa International,

The Bank opened its first Tigran Mets branch in Yerevan.

2000
The Bank initiated money transfers for individuals in regions of Armenia,
Made an agreement with the Russian Impexbank on provision of Visa cards in Armenia.
Number of customers totaled 1,817.

1999

The Bank became a member of S.W.I.F.T.,
Was renamed to Areximbank CJSC,
Established correspondent relations with Russian, European and US banks.
Number of customers totaled 637.

1998

Establishment of the Rossiyski Credit-Armenia CJSC.
