1.    Loss of Card

If you have identified that your card is lost, first of all try to remember where exactly you might have left it; you should be aware that the Bank charges a commission fee for card re-issuance.

If the fact of card loss or theft is confirmed, you should immediately contact the customer assistance service of "Areximbank-Gazprombank Group" CJSC available 24 hours a day, by the phone number: (374 10) 54 17 72 in order to record the fact of a loss or theft of a card. Within three days after oral application on suspension of card validity, the cardholder should file a written application to the Bank.

    (Fax: (374 10) 52 09 95).

            It should be noted that in the case of a loss or a theft of a card, the cardholder will be held liable for the card transactions carried out before the submission of a written application (including the date of filing the relevant application) to the Bank on the loss of the card.

            If you are traveling abroad, you may turn to any bank having the trade mark of your card, although it would be more efficient if you (or even your friends in Armenia tried to quickly obtain the Bank's phone numbers) immediately turned to your own Bank. If possible, try to forward via facsimile machine your application on the loss of your card, along with description of the situation in which it happened. Upon returning to Armenia, your should personally deliver to the Bank the hard copy of your application.

            In the case certain amounts have been withdrawn from your card account, you are entitled to file a complaint regarding the transactions carried out after the date of submission of an application to the Bank (e.g. transactions implemented without authorization), you are entitled to raise your arguments against the mentioned transactions. While in the case you have suddenly found your card which was reported as lost or stolen, you should notify the Bank about it, in order to avoid misunderstanding.

            VISA International international payment system renders GCAS - Global Customer Assistance Service, which provides assistance to all VISA cardholders in order to cope with emergency situation. Irrespective of your location, you may turn to the Global Customer Assistance Service at (USA) 1-41-05-81-38-36. The service is available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day and the operators shall help you.

            The service operators will accept your application on loss/theft of your card; if you are a holder of a VISA GOLD or VISA BUSINESS type of a card, at your request the service employees will undertake necessary measures for emergency replacement of the card or cash disbursement (upon ensuring the consent of "Areximbank-Gazprombank Group" CJSC), after obtaining your consent to pay the relevant commission fee, which equals at a minimum USD 200.

            Prior to leaving for a certain country, put on paper the phone number of "Areximbank-Gazprombank Group" CJSC, the free phone number of GCAS - Global Customer Assistance Service, and your card number. You should keep the mentioned important data in a separate safe place.

            MasterCard International international payment system ensures 24-hour assistance service for MasterCard cardholders. Service operators will accept your applications by the phone numbers: +32-2-352-50-06, and facsimile machine number: +32-2-352-50-54.
